Template configuration. A purchased theme, your logo and colours applied, your copy dropped in. Fast and inexpensive. Appropriate for a business that needs a credible presence quickly and is not competing on brand.
Customised template. The same foundation with meaningful design work, custom sections and proper content. Better, and the point at which the outcome starts depending on who does it.
Designed and built. Information architecture, original design, custom front end development, a CMS your team can actually run, technical SEO from the start. This is where a website becomes a business asset rather than a brochure.
Platform. Custom application work: portals, dashboards, integrations, complex logic. This is software, priced as software.
What actually moves the number
Page count and uniqueness. Ten pages sharing three templates is a different job from twenty five individually designed pages.
